BIO
Was born in China. At the age of thirteen began a career in dance at Minzu University in China, His solo dance “Guerma” won the first prize in a competition sponsored by Guangdong Dance Company. This early recognition led to a twenty-year career in professional dance, as a performer and choreographer in China and in the United States. A turning point in his career was the performance in 2013 with the Chinese composer San Bao who is well-known for having written successful pop songs and overseeing the music production at the Beijing Olympics. Dance and music made such a profound impact on him that he wished one day could use the cinematic language to share the great story with more audience. Thus, he earned bachelor of science degree from New York City University major in Dance and Musical film production. Currently he enrolled in an intensive two-year MFA Film program of the City College of New York. This program was founded in 1941 by Hans Richter.
FILM SYNOPSIS
After Emma’s grandma who has Alzheimer disease got lost again, Emma made a decision which is sending her to a nursing care center. But the only memory her grandma has is making Emma realise that the family is most important to her.
