FILM SYNOPSIS
Following four stories - ’Whatever A Sun Will Always Sing’ is an experimental hybrid documentary which meditates on the tenderness of young women's’ journeys into adulthood. Cathartic in nature, the film’s narrative is drawn from four anonymous confessions to the question:
‘What was the pivotal moment where you were forced to grow up?’
Raw and unfiltered, these formative moments are reimagined through actors who bring these memories to life. Each tale serves as a thread - creating a tapestry of powerful expressions of personal truth. An evocative anthology, this contemplative documentary focuses on the key moment of change - conveying the multitude of complexity in women’s experience of becoming.
Special thanks for the trust/participation of over 50 New York women who submitted their stories anonymously as part of this project.
