FILM SYNOPSIS
In the Colombian Caribbean town of Plato, a solitary fisherman drifts through riverside life shaped by the enduring legend of the Alligator Man, binding myth, landscape, and human solitude.
In the Colombian Caribbean town of Plato, a legend tells of a man who once transformed himself into an alligator. The film follows a solitary fisherman who driven by a secret desire and burdened by longing and guilt, wanders through rivers, marshlands and the town's memory. Haunted streets and sculptures of the Alligator Man mirror the fisherman’s inner exile, forming a portrait of loneliness, human frailty, and amphibian folklore. Past and present, human and beast, land and water coexist in an uneasy balance, shaped by memory, folklore, and enduring patriarchal codes.
