Yance Ford is an award-winning director and producer based in New York City. His feature documentary POWER premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and has screened at film festivals worldwide.

His film Strong Island won the 2017 Sundance U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award, the Gotham Award for Best Documentary and was nominated for the Best Documentary Feature at the 90th Academy Awards. Strong Island went on to win the Primetime Emmy for Exceptional Merit in Documentary Film.

Ford is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Directors Guild of America.
