    The Great Wall

    Synopsis

    “The Great Wall” is a romantic comedy short film incorporating classical music in
    bringing its story to life. Misunderstood by his roommate as being shy, music
    conservatory pianist Edward clears up the false impression by chance when he
    makes a heroic move at an awkward recital concert, simultaneously igniting a
    romantic war.

    Bio

    Born in China, Anqi Wang is a filmmaker and musician based in New York City. Before
    his decision to pursue filmmaking, he earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in
    Communication Arts from the NYIT-Nanjing academic program where he learned
    basic skills of digital filmmaking and television production.

    After entering the CCNY Master of Fine Arts film program in 2016, he was inspired to
    voraciously learn about filmmaking. With support and encouragement from school,
    he actively participated in all kinds of productions both on and off campus. His
    outstanding film projects have led him to become the 2017-2018 BAFTA (British
    Academy of Film and Television Arts) New York Media Studies Scholar recipient.
    He is excited to demonstrate his endeavor, passion and talent in filmmaking through
    his first short film, “The Great Wall”.
